PPF questions

Everything you need to know before protecting the car.

How long does paint protection film last?

High-quality PPF can commonly last approximately five to ten years depending on the film, installation, driving conditions and maintenance. Ask us about the specific film warranty and care requirements for your package.

Can you see PPF after it is installed?

Premium clear PPF is designed to be nearly invisible. Close inspection may reveal an edge depending on the package and panel, but proper fitting and edge finishing help maintain a clean factory-like appearance.

Does PPF prevent every rock chip?

PPF significantly reduces the risk of common chips, scratches and abrasions, but no film can guarantee protection from every possible impact or collision.

What does self-healing PPF mean?

The film's top layer can reduce the appearance of light surface scratches and swirl marks when exposed to warmth. Deep cuts and impacts may not self-heal.

Should I choose partial front or full front PPF?

Partial front is a lower-cost option for high-impact zones. Full front covers complete front panels, avoids a partial hood line and is the most balanced option for new or frequently highway-driven vehicles.

Can PPF be installed on a used vehicle?

Yes. The paint condition should be inspected first, and correction may be recommended if there are existing defects that would remain visible beneath the clear film.
